EMAIL TEMPLATE #1

Subject:

  • Easy new way to post reference articles to your course page

As you prepare for the fall semester, we wanted to let you know about a new and very simple way to post reference articles in [LMS]. Your students will appreciate the ease of accessing relevant and credible articles, and their research papers will be better for it!

From the articles you choose to embed in [LMS], students will be able to explore related concepts, expand their keyword vocabulary, and cite their sources easily with Credo’s citation management tool. Students who use background information sources to start their papers get better grades and require less hand-holding along the way.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Within search.credoreference.com, find an article you wish to embed.

  2. Click on the Embed icon at the top right of the article text (highlighted in orange in the figure below.) Embed_Step_1

  3. Copy the full Embed Code.

  1. Paste the code into [LMS]. (Make sure to use the "HTML Editor" or "HTML View" option in the content editor.)

We are happy to answer any questions you may have, and help get everything set up! Please [library’s contact details].

EMAIL TEMPLATE #2

Subject:

  • Do your students struggle to find credible sources for their research?

One of the most common concerns we hear from faculty is that students struggle to find credible sources when writing their research papers. An easy way to help them get their research off on the right foot is to include reference articles on your course page in [LMS], a process that is now easier than ever!

You can still put articles on reserve at the reference desk. You can still provide links or lists of sources in your syllabus. This new option, however, allows you to easily direct students to electronic resources that are available 24/7. From the articles, they’ll easily be able to see related concepts and explore resources that will help take their research to the next level.
